Missions
The orphanage began in June of 1988 through
the work of Evelyn Boyd, a retired nurse, and
Southwest member Reese Scott in a rented
house with enough beds for 10 children.  In
1989, under the oversight of the Southwest
Church, a larger facility was purchased.
Today, there are 60 children in the care of the
orphanage.

Southwest members, as well as our campus
group, make trips to Haiti to help with the
work.  Local members sponsor individual
children, helping to purchase school supplies,
clothing and Christmas gifts.
